Live Colorfully! Coloproof x It Gets Better Project

At Colorproof, we believe everyone has the right to let their true colors shine. In honor of Pride Month in June, we are thrilled to partner again with the It Gets Better Project by donating a portion of the proceeds of our Smooth and Toning Live Colorfully Kits to support their cause. The It Gets Better Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth around the globe. It envisions a world where all LGBTQ+ youth are free to live equally and know their worthiness and power as individuals.

To support the initiative, Colorproof is launching two limited-edition kits, the Live Colorfully Smooth Kit, inclusive of Smooth Shampoo, Smooth Conditioner, and Smooth Drops designed to benefit frizz-prone, color-treated hair, and the Live Colorfully Toning Kit, inclusive of Daily Blonde Shampoo, Daily Blonde Conditioner, and NEW! Blonde Toning Drops created specifically for maintenance of blonde, highlighted or silver color hair in mind. Housed within custom, rainbow hued-packaging to celebrate the partnership, these kits will be available on Colorproof.com and at participating salons nationwide starting May 1, 2023, with a portion of the proceeds from each set sold to be donated to the It Gets Better Project to further support the foundation year-round.

"I've been a hairstylist for over a decade now, and I've seen firsthand how difficult it can be for LGBTQ+ youth to navigate their identity in a world that's not always accepting. When I first heard about the It Gets Better Project, I was so inspired by their mission to provide hope and support to those who may be struggling. As a gay man myself, I know how important it is to have a community and a support system. That's why I've been such a strong supporter of the It Gets Better Project from the beginning. I've seen how their message of hope and resilience can truly change lives.

One of my clients, a young transgender woman, was really struggling with her identity when she first came to see me. She was nervous and anxious, but I could tell she had a lot of potential. I shared with her some of the stories from the It Gets Better Project and encouraged her to check out their website.

Over the next few months, I watched as she blossomed into a confident and empowered young woman. She found a community of support through the It Gets Better Project and was able to connect with others who shared her experiences. Seeing her transformation was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I'm so grateful for the work that the It Gets Better Project does, and I'm honored to be partnering with Colorproof to support their mission during Pride Month.
