Colorproof Teams Up with HairToStay in Honor of Hair Loss Awareness Month

Imagine a world where stylists never had to give another "chemo cut." The fear and trauma of hair loss during chemotherapy are among the most dreaded side effects for patients. In fact, approximately 8% of female patients decline potentially life-saving chemotherapy because they fear losing their hair. However, there is hope in the form of a treatment called Scalp Cooling, and a non-profit organization called HairToStay is dedicated to increasing access to this treatment and providing financial assistance to those in need.

In honor of National Hair Loss Awareness Month, Colorproof is partnering with HairToStay to raise awareness and funds for their cause. Colorproof first partnered with HairToStay last October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is thrilled to partner again with the organization to amplify HairToStay’s mission. Throughout the year, salon owners and stylists can host fundraisers to raise $1,000 or more, which covers the approximate cost of a Scalp Cooling Treatment. Some salons choose specific months, like October, to align with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, while others fundraise year-round.
